From the village of Les Avants, a historic holiday resort, we take a funicular railway dating from 1910 to reach the starting point of our hike. After a short journey on asphalt, we enter a splendid natural environment at the foot of the Pre-Alps. Our route takes us through forests interspersed with clearings. We're on the lookout for animal tracks... not forgetting to look up and admire the scenery! We're in a tranquillity zone whose aim is to protect the black grouse, so we'll be adopting appropriate behaviour to respect the wildlife to which we are guests. For those who want to, we can do a little summit and back to get an even better view of Lake Geneva and the Alps. As a reward, we can enjoy a delicious hot chocolate at the end of our winter adventure!
